ShutterBooth is proud to announce our participation in a new TV series called WEDDING DAY.  The show premiered on June 16, 2009 on TNT and is brought to you by Mark Burnett Productions and DreamWorks Television  along with the original Producers of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” ShutterBooth Southeast Michigan happily donated their services to a very deserving couple, Holli and Steve, from Saginaw in Michigan.

Holli and Steve’s Story
Just four days before his wedding day in 2007, Steve received a call that his bride-to-be, Holli, had been injured in a near-fatal car crash and had only a 50% chance of surviving. After six days in a coma, she finally came to, but everyday since then has been a struggle to withstand the long, painful road to recovery. Holli and Steve’s walk down the aisle included a New York shopping spree, a Badgley-Mishka wedding dress, and Manolo Blahnik shoes. The couple even got to enjoy a special performance by Boyz II Men.

Check out the show, but be sure to have plenty of kleenex ready because this show is very emotional, heartwarming, and touching!

ShutterBooth Cincinnati participated in the Growing Family Expo at the Sharonville Convention Center. It was a lot of fun and many families tried our photo booth and sampled the other vendors who participated. It was almost like we were at the zoo because there were so many animals there. The Newport Aquarium (www.newportaquarium.com) Shark Squad was there with a couple of sharks for “Pet a Shark” program which was neat. The sharks were very calm and slick to the touch. Geoffrey the Giraffe was also there from Toys ‘R Us (www.toysrus.com) in the Fun Zone that had lots of games for the children. McGruff the Crime Dog (www.mcgruff.org) was there teaching kids about safety. State Farm (www.statefarm.com) had their Bear there also. Sunrock Farm (www.sunrockfarm.org) had baby chicks, goats, & a pig on site for the kids to pet. All of the animals were very sweet! Even the grown-ups were getting in on the fun!

Juice Plus + (www.JPforHealthyLiving.com) was in the booth next to ours. Juice Plus is an easy way to get the servings of vegetables and fruits we all need. They have an adult and child line. Our son is a very picky eater, but the taste was very good and my son gave them a thumbs up. For more information contact Linda Collett (email: Linda@JPForHealthyLiving.com).

Humphries Mortgage (www.hmiloan.com) had the booth right across from us. They had a corn hole game and balloons that the kids absolutely loved. Humphries Mortgage works with you to get the best loan possible by working with you as a partner. For more information, contact Larry Brown (email: larry@hmiloan.com) or Susan Bales (susan@hmiloan.com).

Sudden Infant Death (SID) Network of Ohio (www.sidsohio.org) was at the expo also. They were educating families on this tragic topic. The SID Network’s mission involves grief support, education, & awareness. There will be a 7 day event help June 8-14, 2009 where restaurants and businesses in Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky band together to raise money for and awareness of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) which is the #1 cause of death for infants between the ages of one week and one year. Everyone should try and come out and support this important cause. For more information on SID Network of Ohio contact Jennifer Cunningham (email: madilly30@yahoo.com). Q-102 (www.wkrq.com) was the media partner for this event and they also hosted the Fashion Show where young children modeled clothes from Babies ‘R Us (www.babiesrus.com). The kids were so adorable!! Jenn Jordan from the Q102 morning show was there on Saturday and Brian Douglas from the Q102 late afternoon show was there on Sunday. We met Brian Douglas and he hopped in our photo booth for pictures. We were so excited!! Brian was very friendly and approachable. We LOVE Q102!!

Other vendors we met and thought were very cool:

ShutterBooth participated in “A Formal Fashion Show” presented by Sparkle ‘N Shine Benefits.  The event was held at Badin High School to raise money for foster children in Butler County.  Sparkle ‘N Shine Benefits is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving  Butler County children in long term foster care a special day.  They collect gently used formal wear & monetary donations to assist in sending kids in long term foster care to their high school’s prom & graduation.  Lauren Rosenberger, a student at UC, is the Founder & Executive Director of this wonderful cause.   Lauren has a very big heart and started this organization last year.

Not only was there a fashion show with area high school kids modeling the formal wear, there were also several dance team performances and various vendors with their goods and services on display.   One of the vendors at the event was Boutique Allie (www.boutiqueallie.com) which has a store at Bridgewater Falls.  They had gorgeous dresses on display.

Everyone that tried the photo booth enjoyed it a lot!  We even got the local Channel 9 camera man in on the action!  The dance teams had many poses to try out that kept the Shutterbooth hosts busy the entire afternoon.  Dance teams represented at this event were Midwest Cheer Elite (www.midwestcheerelite.com), Next Generation Dance (www.cysdngd.com), & JCA Dance Academy (http://jcadance.com/).  All of the groups were awesome and rocked the house!!

ShutterBooth was very proud to be part of this event!

Our son Austin chose to have his 8th birthday party at home.  The theme of the party was Bakugan Battle Brawlers.  He only wanted to invite “the boys” to his friend party.  We had a family party on Saturday night.  On Sunday, we had his friend party where about (9) seven and eight year old boys showed up with TONS of energy.  They kept me hoppin’ the whole time!!  I wish I half their energy!!  The boys absolutely loved the photo booth.  Many went in numerous times.  One boy set the record and probably had about 15 photo strips himself.  Our family members also loved it and everyone got in except for my brother who was a party pooper.  The cake was made by Sam’s Club and used Bakugan colors & I added  Bakugan figurines to decorate the cake for the party theme.  Austin told me it was “the best party ever!!”, so I think the mission was accomplished with help from the ShutterBooth photo booth.  I am not sure how we will be able to top it.  Ha! J

ShutterBooth Cincinnati was a part of Rachel’s bat mitzvah celebration at the elegant Loveland Receptions (www.receptionsinc.com).  The theme colors were pink, lilac, & aqua and everything looked magnificent.  The Receptions event staff made sure everything was perfect for Rachel’s special day.  Everyone was having a good time all night long.  DJ Maurice Levi (Maurice@partypleasersdj.com) and his dancers from Party Pleasers (www.partypleasersdj.com) kept the music kicking and the dance floor was crowded the entire night.  Jeff Boeing (kamanskingsisland@yahoo.com) an artist from Kaman’s Art Shoppes (www.kamansart.com) spray painted customized t-shirts for each one of the guests.  All of the kids and many of the adults took advantage of the activities including our photo booth.  There was a line at the booth for most of the night.

ShutterBooth had a great time and was very honored to be a part of this event!

Mom & Me Attendees Having A Great Time!

Mom & Me Attendees Having A Great Time!

ShutterBooth Cincinnati donated their services and took pictures of all of the guests that stopped by our photo booth.  This event was hosted by Kindervelt #20 of Fairfield and was held at Tori’s Station in Fairfield (www.fairfieldconventionctr.com).  This was their 6th annual event.  All proceeds benefited the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.  There was lots of action going on and excitement was buzzing through the air.  There were many activities including a sundae station, sweets shoppe, wheel of wow, silent auction, raffle, & of course lunch.  Many moms, sisters, daughters, aunts, grandmas, & friends came to this event and everyone was dressed so lovely for Valentine’s Day.  All of the little girls had the opportunity to participate in the Parade of Fashion.  The staff at Tori’s Station made sure that everything was perfect.  According to their website, Kindervelt is the largest auxiliary of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) and is recognized as one of Greater Cincinnati’s outstanding volunteer organizations.  See their website www.kindervelt.org for more information.

A Fun Bride & Her Crew

ShutterBooth Cincinnati had a great time at Veils & Cocktails held at The Madison in Covington, Kentucky on February 4, 2009.  The brides were easy to see in their lovely veils!  The night started out slow, but quickly picked up and we had a line of eager brides wanting to see our photo booth first hand.  Even the vendors joined in on the fun!  Our ShutterBooth photo booth was located right next to some delicious foods whipped up by The Madison Chef Dave (contact: www.thecovingtonmadison.com).  The aroma of chocolate treats from “Homemade By Me” (contact: Patty Terrill at www.homemadebyme.org ) tempted us all night long.  The gourmet candies were heavenly and highly recommended!
